Cat Rescues 2024

Hello Everyone!

Lets introduce the 4 cat rescues each club has nominated for the donated prizes to go to!

Moggies Home for Cats and Kittens

Moggies is a local Cat Rescue and Pet Adoption Service with big dreams of making a difference for our Cats and Kittens in the Bay of Plenty.

We started as two members of the public who saw the state of our homeless animals as a shared responsibility and in so opened our hearts and homes to those who needed us most.

Fast forward to present day, Moggies is made up of a network of foster homes in Paengaroa, Te Puke, Papamoa, Mount Maunganui and various suburbs of Tauranga. All cats/kittens are raised as part of the family to help to nurture and acclimatise them into their future adoptive homes.

Alongside rescue work, we’re big believers in ‘everyone can make a difference to someone’,
so focus our reach on community support, education and desexing.

Lucky Kitties

We are a cat and kitten rescue operating throughout West, East and South Auckland.

Bay of Island Animal Rescue

Bay of Islands Animal Rescue is a highly esteemed registered charitable trust (CC56296) in accordance with the provisions of the Charities Act 2005. We maintain a professional approach in all our endeavors to ensure the welfare and wellbeing of animals in need. Any amount you can afford, no matter how small, will help us rescue and care for unwanted pets across the Bay of Islands area. Even if you can only contribute $5 or $10, it can still go a long way toward helping!

Pawphanage

We’re a small team.  The people doing adoption appointments also clean the cattery, administer meds, do the admin etc.  We spend a lot of time with the residents so we get to know them really well.  This means we’re really good at finding the perfect match for your family and lifestyle.

The Pawphanage operates on a capacity for care model, and we’re not a fan of doing the bare minimum for our residents.  This means that we will only take in animals that we have the resources to care for really well during their stay.  Every cat adopted frees up space for another cat or kitten in need, and their adoption fee helps pay the bills.
