The Toyger is a tough breed to work with and the pattern is unique in the tabbies often wanting things that are very different to a normal tabby. They are not simply mackerel or broken mackerel … we want to see the same type of broken branching lines that we see on the tiger. On this cat you can clearly see the branching pattern in the back half of the cat. But the other thing that makes this Toyger stand out is the facial pattern. Normal tabbies have mascara lines running outwards but here we can see they are taking on more of a circular pattern and curving around the face. This is incredibly hard to get and the breeder of this cat has done a superb job to attain it!

Knock out pattern on this Toyger covering the whole body with branching … no resemblance to mackerel tabby. You can even see the broken branching going down the legs. Very, very difficult to achieve and possibly the best pattern I’ve ever seen on a Toyger.

Lovely ear size and set … you can see them swivelling were it to hunt mice in the barn and the mouse wouldn’t be able to swing up and bite them in an effort to distract the cat and escape. Nice powerful jaws. Good eyes cut like an almond on top and rounded below. Truly looks like a working cat with no exaggerated features.
